Dr. Daniel Daryoush Sadigh, LMFT, PsyD is the Clinical director at the Wheel of wellbeing. Daniel has experienced and overcome an array of challenges within a lifetime of education, practical training, and helping others. He witnessed cultural, familial, and social effects of suffering in different psychological settings and realized emotional healing is a key component of health. Over the past four decades, Dr. Sadigh noticed the need for specific attention to mental health by integrating a mind-body approach to joy and well-being.
Dr. Sadigh initiated his studies in Medical Sciences by attending Ferdossi School of Dentistry in Iran, before a revolution made him leave his home-land. He then attended City University of New York and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, which led him to launching a few successful business entities in the years that followed. Business traveling within United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East made him familiar with the commonalities people’s need for care, support, and love. His passion for literature and cinema combined with his creative nature eventually led him to Screenplay Writing and Film-making at UCLA, however it was the physical and emotional traumas faced by few family members that changed his direction towards becoming a Psychotherapist. Earning his Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling, followed by a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, and completion of several prestigious internships in mental health facilities/counseling centers empowered him to support hundreds of clients in a relatively short time.
Dr. Sadigh’s recognition of the medical field’s vast need for integration of psychotherapy with Mind-Body Medicine was the motivation behind specializing in processing Traumatic Stress, relieving Mood Disorders, and preventing Anxiety Disorders, among dealing with other debilitating psycho-somatic factors. His expertise in couples, family, and individual counseling is rooted in his psycho-dynamic training. He utilizes Behavior Modification, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing), Somatic Psychotherapy, Guided Imagery, and EMF (Electromagnetic Field) Balancing, among several other scientifically researched approaches in improving clients conditions. He is a Certified Anger Management specialist and his uniquely designed integrative techniques provide successful transformation and recovery from addictive behaviors, obsessive patterns, and emotional instabilities.
Dr. Sadigh volunteering activities at Beit T’shouvah Addiction Recovery Center and Elevating Hope non-profit grief support organization are centered in re-establishing a sense of balance, re-building emotional security, and re-gaining the ability of patients to live hopeful and positive lives. He also conducts seminars on personal well-being, forms workshops and creates effective programs to promote positive communication. Daniel’s radio programs and other frequent broadcasts are followed by thousands of listeners all over the world.
