Dr. Susan Crimmins
Integrative Therapist
Dr. Crimmina is an intuitive, inspirational speaker who conducts trainings and workshops in healing trauma, and who serves as a consultant to educators, therapists, media and criminal justice practitioners across the nation. Her expertise is working with individuals to restore balance within their physiology and their lives after experiencing trauma. In the 1990’s both the death of her niece and her NIH-funded research endeavors in homicide, substance abuse and maltreatment influenced her to shift from epidemiologically based work to clinical interventions in the healing of trauma. From this juncture, a spiritual opening occurred that invited her to explore the nexus between science and soul, which she now incorporates in all of her endeavors.
Dr. Crimmins has trained extensively in several healing modalities including: Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Healing Touch and hands on Energy Healing. Dr. Crimmins is certified as an Energy Healer Therapist (EHT) and a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) in the State of California and is a Clinical Professor in the School of Social Work at California State University at Los Angeles. Dr. Crimmins also is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York and holds a doctorate in criminal justice from City University of New York.
